It was the car we all wanted. Outselling the competition to gain Chevrolet® a title it still holds today: U.S.A. #1! It had four headlights, six taillights, and plenty of room for the kids and all their gear. Plus a racy look symbolized by the bold "missile" designs streaking along the quarter panels. Complete with oval grille, dual antennas, cavernous trunk, wraparound windshield, giant rear window and fluted rear-fender side scoops. And, of course, those intriguing rear fins...a story in themselves. During the late Fifties, Chevrolet cars featured striking, delta-like "batwings." But for the 1960 Impala, they were far more subdued, referred to as "Seagull Wings"! Style and substance. Elegance and economy. The 1960 Chevy® Impala™
